About this tour

Our most complete journey through Guatemala, built for travellers who want to see the country's full range without feeling rushed. It links the colonial highlands, the Maya lake villages, the rivers and caves of the Verapaces and the rainforest of the Petén, travelling overland where the scenery rewards it and flying where it saves a long day.

Fourteen days gives you room for both the headline sights and the quieter moments that make a trip: an afternoon with nothing planned at the lake, a coffee farm lunch, a sunset you didn't have to rush. Your specialist stays with you from first message to the day you fly home, adjusting as you go.

Highlights

  • Three unhurried nights each in Antigua and on Lake Atitlán
  • Chichicastenango's market on the way to the lake
  • Semuc Champey's pools and the cloud forests of Alta Verapaz
